 6 Must-to-Do Natural Skin Care Routine

The natural skincare routine means healthy skincare tips other than using several products. These are less expensive home care with products easily available in your home. You can improve your skin health with the below-mentioned steps:


Clean your face at least twice in the morning and night. You can use fresh Aloe vera gel as a face wash. You can use yogurt as a face cleanser. 

You can use yogurt and honey as a cleanser. Yogurt helps in cleaning and honey moisturizes the skin.

 Yogurt and turmeric is also a good cleanser. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory and helps to soothe the skin as well as make the skin glowing.

Milk, turmeric, and honey paste are one of the best cleansers. Milk and honey moisturize skin and maintain the PH balance of the skin. Turmeric makes skin glowing.

Try to use a more natural product to maintain the PH balance of the skin.


Skin loses its PH balance and becomes dry and brittle. So, it's equally important to moisturize your skin. There are various ways we can moisturize our skin. Oiling is the best to maintain the moisturization of the skin. 20 minutes before the bath you can oil your body, it would keep the skin hydrated post-bath. Various oil can be used like coconut oil, castor oil, mustard oil, olive oil, etc.

You can use aloe vera gel or coconut oil or olive oil as a moisturizer. You can use these overnight also.

Rice water is an efficient moisturizer for skin that we rarely know. Keep the water of rice after washing and apply it with cotton as a toner. It removes skin dullness and maintains the PH level.

Do not use too much warm water. Try to bathe with lukewarm water.


Scrubbing is equally important for the skin. It removes dust and dead skin as well as cleans the pores.

There are various available home remedies. You can use Sugar and coffee as a scrubber. Make a paste of sugar and coffee and rub it on the skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it thoroughly with water. This paste would help to remove skin tanning also.

You can use Green tea and Sugar paste (in warm water) as well as a scrubber. It is rich in anti-oxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties. It can reverse the sun damage caused to the skin. 

Lemon and sugar is also effective body scrubber. Rub your body with lemon and sugar. It helps to remove tanning and dead cells.  

Do not do scrubbing daily. At most two times a week is enough.


Skincare is incomplete without the mask. It helps to smooth skin, remove dullness and maintain the skin texture. It helps to remove tanning as well soothes skin from sunburn.

The most popular one is bentonite clay or commonly known as Multani mitti. Make a paste of Multani mitti by just adding rose water or coconut oil. Apply it to the whole body and leave for 20 minutes. Wash it thoroughly with water. It's very helpful in summer due to its cooling nature. It's good for hair as well it provides shine and smoothness to hair.

Riped banana, honey, and coconut oil are also effective remedies for the skin. Mix all three and make a paste and apply it to the body. It helps the skin to maintain PH balance. It acts as a good moisturizer for the skin and makes skin glow.

Milk, Honey, Gram flour(Besan) and turmeric masks can be used for smooth glowing skin.

All mask acts as a cleanser as well as an anti-aging agent. You can skip the soap and use these masks thrice a week.

Water Intake:

We all know that 70 percent of our body is made up of water. Water plays important role in numerous activities of our body, especially in the process of digestion. A healthy body needs around 8 liters of water daily.  A good water intake has not only good health benefits but also beauty benefits. It hydrates the body which results in healthy skin and hair. You will feel fresh and glowing skin. It helps in the removal of toxins from our body and prevents acne and pimples.

The healthy way to drink water is to start your day with a glass of warm water. You can also add lemon and honey to it. Drink 1 glass of water before 1 hour of your meal. 

Do not drink water before 1 hrs of sleep at night.


A healthy diet is not only required for good skin but also for whole-body health. A healthy and balanced diet alone can reduce a lot of health and skin issues. Always keep a track of your diet. An unhealthy diet can lead to damage to your organs and can impact your metabolism.

Keep vegetables especially green vegetables, lentils, and beans along with chappatis in your diet. Add clarified butter or ghee, spices, rice, salt, and sugar in a limited amount. Do not rely much on junk foods. 

Use olive oil or mustard oil as cooking oil. Add yogurt to your lunchtime. Eat seasonal fruits. Keep a regular track of your weight gain. 

Don't skip your breakfast. Keep breakfast heavy, then lunch a bit lighter and dinner very light. Keep a gap of at least 2 hrs between your dinner and sleep.

Don't forget to exercise and do regular yoga.
